IL CEMENTO È UN MATERIALE CON CUI ABBIAMO SEMPRE DESIDERATO SPERIMENTARE. UN ELEMENTO RIGIDO E INTRANSIGENTE, CHE NON ACCETTA MARGINI DI ERRORE E IMPONE UNA PRECISIONE ASSOLUTA NELLE DOSI PER RAGGIUNGERE
IL RISULTATO DESIDERATO.

TUTTAVIA, LA SUA RIGIDEZZA È COMPENSATA DALLA RESA MATERICA: OGNI COLATA RESTITUISCE TEXTURE UNICHE, SFUMATURE E IMPERFEZIONI ORGANICHE CHE TRASFORMANO LA RIGIDEZZA FORMALE IN UN OGGETTO DOTATO DI VITA PROPRIA.

Concrete is a material we have always wanted to experiment with. A rigid and unyielding element that leaves no room for error, demanding absolute precision in its proportions to achieve the desired result.

Yet, its rigidity is compensated by its tactile quality: every pour yields unique textures, shades, and organic imperfections that transform formal stiffness into an object with a life of its own.

IL PROGETTO L’ARCHITETTURA È UNA DISCIPLINA CHE OCCUPA LO SPAZIO E LO ABITA. PER QUESTO IL FILM “THE BRUTALIST” È DIVENTATO IL PRETESTO PERFETTO PER SPERIMENTARE CON IL CEMENTO, TRASFORMANDO IL LINGUAGGIO GRAFICO DA SUPERFICIE BIDIMENSIONALE A OGGETTO DOTATO DI PESO, SCULTURA E VOLUMETRIA.

LA RICERCA TIPOGRAFICA SI È CONCENTRATA SUL MONDO VISIVO DI LÁSZLÓ TÓTH. L’ISPIRAZIONE NASCE DA UN DOCUMENTO D’ARCHIVIO: UN’ESERCITAZIONE DI TYPE DESIGN SVOLTA PRESSO LA BAUHAUS, IN CUI LE LETTERE PRENDEVANO FORMA ALL’INTERNO DI UNA GRIGLIA RIGOROSAMENTE GEOMETRICA E QUADRATA.

PER RICONNETTERE LA TIPOGRAFIA ALLA MATERIA ARCHITETTONICA, ABBIAMO INTRODOTTO LIEVI INCLINAZIONI SU ALCUNE LETTERE. UN RICHIAMO DIRETTO ALLE DIAGONALI NETTE DEGLI EDIFICI BRUTALISTI, CAPACE DI GENERARE OMBRE, PROFONDITÀ E GIOCHI DI LUCE SULLA SUPERFICIE.

DAL DISEGNO GRAFICO SI È PASSATI ALLA MODELLAZIONE 3D E ALLA STAMPA DELLA MATRICE, FINO ALLA COLATA FINALE IN CEMENTO.

Architecture is a discipline that occupies space and inhabits it. This is why the film "The Brutalist" became the perfect pretext to experiment with concrete, transforming graphic language from a two-dimensional surface into an object endowed with weight, sculptural quality, and volume.

The typographic research focused on the visual world of László Tóth. The inspiration stems from an archival document: a type design exercise conducted at the Bauhaus, where letters took shape within a rigidly geometric, square grid.

To reconnect typography with architectural matter, we introduced subtle inclinations to certain letters. A direct nod to the sharp diagonals characteristic of brutalist buildings, capable of generating shadows, depth, and play of light across the surface.

The process evolved from graphic design to 3D modeling and matrix printing, culminating in the final concrete pour.
